Note about Clannad Official English Translation project

In case there are some Key’s fans around here, I wanted to post about an official Clannad translation project that will be started thanks to the Kickstarter site. They are currently gathering money for translation, licenses and other stuff. You can read about it in detail, support the project and “pre-order” the game here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/clannad-official-english-release.

There is already a patch for fully voiced Clannad in the internet, but this time the translation will be official, there will be some additional goods available and it will have more content – including additional routes from Clannad – Hikari Mimamoru Sakamichi de (which weren’t translated yet).

2014年12月24日 – Yosuga no Sora update – Kira’s Christmas present edition

Kira wanted a patch as his Christmas present (in the discussion in the previous post), so here it is. As usual, some stats first:

  • Sora8288/8288 (100.00%)
  • Nao: 5565/7311 (76.12%)
  • Akira: 7890/8793 (89.73%)
  • Kazuha6634/6634 (100.00%)
  • Motoka: 1966/6261 (31.40%)
  • Common2096/2096 (100.00%)

Total: 32439/39383 (82.37%).

I have bad news and good news. Good news is that translation of main content of Akira’s route was finished. The bad news is that h-scenes are not translated yet (I am to blame for that) and quality is not good enough for a decent release. Substantial part of Akira’s route is translated really bad and is undergoing translation check. Also, in some places English text itself is hard to understand and uses inconsistent style.

As for the other routes – there was some progress on Nao’s route and small progress on Motoka’s route.

I made the patch and will release is as usual – it’ll be in the topic of #xilexio@irc.rizon.net IRC channel. If you want to enjoy Akira’s route, I’d really recommend waiting until it’s finished instead of reading it right now though. I think it will probably take around 3 months to wrap it up.
