As usual, let’s start with YNS progress:

Total: 30030/39383 (76.25%). So yeah, progress on Nao and Motoka, Akira’s route was not touched this month.
I checked and there has been no progress since last time for Haruka na Sora. The stats are the same as last time:
- Sora: 639/5535 (11.54%)
- Yahiro: 0/4197 (0.00%)
- Kozue: 1173/4944 (23.73%)
- “Countdown”: 17/341 (4.99%)
- Karaoke: 0/365 (0.00%)
- Akira intro: 0/100 (0.00%)
- Nao intro: 0/111 (0.00%)
- Sora intro: 117/117 (100.00%)
- Kazuha intro: 0/120 (0.00%)
- Motoka intro: 0/100 (0.00%)
- Kozue intro: 0/158 (0.00%)
Total: 1946/16088 (12.10%).
Some people have been asking about Haruka na Sora patch. Well, I can produce it, but it will look ugly. HNS differs from YNS a bit. Technical explanation for it is below.
The main problem is that YNS has line width width space for 28 full-width characters (like kanji) or 56 half-width characters (like latin characters). In HNS all characters are treated as full-width, so after placing English into it, only half of the line is used. It’s bad enough that in YNS line scrolls quite often (that’s because English is sometimes more than 2 times as wide than Japanese after translation). In HNS we can only use half of this line. Here is a screen from HNS to show this problem:
Of course it is possible to take care of, but it will probably require hacking the application itself (.exe), not only the file with scenario (.csx). This is a time-consuming step. I will get to it eventually, but since there is no progress on HNS and we’re focused on YNS right now, I plan to do this after YNS is completed.

Good catch, fixed it. I copy-pasted previous post to keep the same format of displaying stats and forgot to update the title.
By the way, I updated other pages on this site (Authors, About, Download). I hope that the percentage of people that can’t find information about the patch will decrease even more.
Nice update, and yeah… I’ve seen that kind of patch before… I think it was before I left Akira’s script…
Let’s just hope that we can finish YNS much faster.
Haruka no Yosuga is Canon, I have a question, right now in HNS the only route being translated is Sora’s? I find this a bit unfair because she already has a route in YNS, why don’t you change to other route?
I agree that other girls are plenty cute, but it was that simply the only translator who continued so far was the one translating Sora’s route. It wasn’t really a “decision”. As for future, I still think we should prioritize Sora, as she is the most popular one (according to surveys done some time ago) and has lowest estimated time to complete with that amount of work done.
… I think I’m the only one that hate’s Sora… ¬_¬
By the way, I have another question… What is Sora route in Haruka na Sora about? An after story?
… I think the team will only finish YNS in the end of 2016…

I would really need and appreciate help with installing the english patch for YNS, specifically the part where you are supposed to move the ‘system.dat’ file into the folder C:\Users{username}\AppData\Roaming\Sphere\Yosuga\save\
The problem is that i don’t have the folder AppData or Roaming… and they don’t turn up on any searches that i’ve done. I’m on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit if that helps
What you’re talking about is save data. You don’t need that to play the game – you’ll start from a fresh state without unlocked Sora’s route, CGs and other stuff. To play the game just substitute C:\Program Files (x86)\Sphere\ヨスガノソラ\system\yosuga.csx (or in “Program Files” on 32-bit Windows) with yosuga.csx included in the patch.
If you really want to substitute your save data then it really is in C:\Users\…\AppData\Roaming\Sphere\yosuga\save, but only after you run the game for the first time (there has to be something to save). And AppData folder exists on Windows 7 for sure, but it’s hidden by default. To go there either paste C:\Users\…\AppData\Roaming\Sphere\yosuga\save into your Windows Explorer window or turn on showing hidden files.
Simple trick, on your folder bar on the top of your file manager, enter the following excluding the quotation mark and press enter : “%appdata%”
There is also the code for program data on the root of your c: drive : “%programdata%”

Thanks. I am aware of many, many errors in YNS, especially in Motoka’s, Nao’s and Akira’s route. But before we get to them, there are also translation problems in large parts of those. After translation is more or less correct, we’ll move on to proofreading. We already have a proofreader (linktriforce007), but I’ll remember you if we’ll need a hand.
