Recent staff changes and information about Haruka na Sora

As I wrote some time ago, vnsociety guys, namely Zky and Cafe decided to help us in translation of Yosuga no Sora. Zky will continue Akira’s route and Cafe started on Motoka’s route.

Apart from them, Joyjason decided to help too, with Nao’s route. So, finally, the project started going at full speed.

I’d like to thank deltakei and valerauko for what they did in the project up until now, but since we have translators willing to work at much better pace, they will get back to their works.

As I observe speed of new translators, I can see that mine was (and still is) miserable. It’s good to have fast translators in the project. Anyway, for the good of the project, I switched to translating the rest of Kazuha’s route (leaving Akira’s route for Zky) and got my other job here – hacking CSX file (and later probably the game itself) to make character names translateable too and resolve few problems with text displaying. Later translation check and so on… I won’t have time to get bored.

As some might have noticed, Hecrapan started helping with project management lately (mails… hundreds of mails… and not only that).

To sum it up, please go to the Staff page for information about who is working on what now, as lots of things changed.

And now a quick info about Haruka na SoraObscure, former translator of Motoka’s route really got active, just as he promised, and started working on Haruka na Sora. Until Yosuga no Sora is completed, fan disk will have much lower priority and it won’t get any attention from other team members, but that doesn’t mean that there will be no progress. Though, I won’t be publishing any detailed statistics about it until Yosuga no Sora is ready. Currently, Sora’s route is translated in around 11% and the game is translated in around 3.8% overall.

By the way – Hecrapan will make the next project status post soon.

Just a little announcement.

As of November 21st, 2012, I have completed Proofreading of the Common Route, which means it’s going to be flowing better in english, and actually make a lot more sense. There were points where I was scratching my head, asking what some things even meant. >.>;

Thanks Xilexio, Zky, Cafe, Katsudon and Castellan from Japanzai, and Ixrec from Amaterasu for putting up with my constant annoyances.

Well, I guess I’ll start the Sora route soon, seeing as how I’ve finished my job quality checking the Shizuru route on Rewrite as part of Amaterasu.

Thanks for all the support.

Cooperation with vnsociety

We’ve started a cooperation with vnsociety I won’t go into specifics until things will stabilize, but hopefully this will mean that Yosuga no Sora will be completed much faster.

I’d like to thank Aaeru and d_fallen_god for introducing me to them. They’ve been a great help.

Also, you can have a look at Aaeru’s site about VNs, in case you don’t know it already:

Routes popularity poll

I’d like to check the popularity of various routes in Yosuga no Sora and Haruka na Sora. I bet Sora’s route is getting the most attention out there, but I’m especially interested in popularity of other routes.

Results might have non-zero impact on our future plans.

Hello, fellow Yosuga No Sora fans!

Well, this is my first post as proofreader of the Yosuga no Sora project. You may have seen my name in other places around the net, as I have proofread and typesetted many manga series in the past. I am Linktriforce007.

There are a few things I want to clear up so that we can have a smooth sailing from here on out. First of all, Haruka na Sora. There have been many questions about it. We would like to finish the Yosuga no Sora project, or get quite close to finishing it before we ever dream about starting another project. It’s daydreaming about other projects that makes the inclination to make progress decline sharply. So, don’t be thinking about Haruka na Sora, quite yet. Because there isn’t any progress at all. When there is progress, we will let you know.

As for the current patch. I am working very hard, and am currently about 700 lines away from completing the Common Route patch. Once I complete that, I will be starting on the Sora route. I am getting out around 300 lines out a day, just to give you a rough estimate of how long it will take.

The current stats are as follows:

Sora 8334/8334 lines translated 100% complete

Nao 468/7378 lines translated 6.3% complete

Akira 2743/8860 lines translated 30.9% complete

Kazuha 6143/6690 lines translated 91.8% complete

Motoka 167/6315 lines translated 2.6% complete

Common Route 2119/2119 lines translated 100% complete

19736/39387 lines translated altogether. 50.11% complete

Well, that’s all for this post. Keep your patch requests coming if you’d like, as we won’t be publishing a public patch until the total hits 39387/39387 100% complete.

For up-to-date information from us, contact us on our channel at #xilexio on IRC Rizon.

That is all.
